Round 2 Nfl Draft

2024 NFL Draft: Rounds 2 and 3 Projections

Tight End Depletion for the Lions

After trading TJ Hockenson, the Detroit Lions are expected to address their tight end position in Round 2. Lance Zierlein believes they will once again turn to the Iowa Hawkeyes program, this time selecting Luke Lachey with the 33rd overall pick.

Offensive Dominance in Round 1

The first round of the 2024 NFL Draft saw a historic surge in offensive players, with 23 being selected. This trend is expected to continue in Rounds 2 and 3, with Zierlein projecting 15 and 12 offensive players to be taken, respectively.

Remaining Talent on Day 2

Despite the high number of offensive players taken in Round 1, there are still several standout prospects available for teams in Rounds 2 and 3. These include wide receivers Agiye Hall and Tegra Tshabola, running backs Evan Hull and Kyion Grayes, and defensive players such as Adetomiwa Adebawore and Titus Leo.

Trade Activity Calms Down

While there were five trades in Round 1, Zierlein predicts that trade activity will slow down in Rounds 2 and 3. He expects only one or two trades to occur during this time.
