Indiana Fever Basketball Coach Marianne Stanley Resigns

Experienced Leader Departs After Seven Seasons

The Indiana Fever have announced the resignation of head coach Marianne Stanley after seven seasons with the franchise. Stanley led the Fever to the WNBA Finals in 2015 and 2016, and was named the WNBA Coach of the Year in 2016.

In a statement released by the team, Stanley said, "This was a difficult decision, but I believe it is the right one for me and my family. I am grateful for the opportunity to have coached the Indiana Fever for the past seven seasons. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I wish the team all the best in the future.

Fever GM Tamika Catchings: "We Thank Marianne for Her Service"

Fever general manager Tamika Catchings said, "We thank Marianne for her service to the Indiana Fever. She has been a great coach and leader, and we wish her all the best in her future endeavors."

The Fever have not yet announced a replacement for Stanley. Associate head coach Carlos Knox is expected to be considered for the position.
