Aston Villa Women: Robert De Pauw Appointed As Sporting Director

Experienced Belgian Takes Up New Role

Aston Villa Women are delighted to announce the appointment of Robert De Pauw as Sporting Director. De Pauw joins the club from RSC Anderlecht, where he has held the same position since October 2021.

A Wealth of Experience

De Pauw brings with him a wealth of experience in women's football. Before Anderlecht, he was Sporting Director at Club Brugge for four years and also worked for the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA). At Brugge, he led the team to two league titles and three Belgian Cups.

Building Success

De Pauw's main responsibility will be to oversee the development and implementation of the club's sporting strategy. He will work closely with the manager, Carla Ward, and the rest of the staff to build a successful and sustainable women's football program.
