Early Life and Career

Jonathan Quick was born in Milford, Connecticut, on January 21, 1986. He began playing hockey at a young age, and quickly developed a reputation as a talented goaltender.

Quick played for the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 2005 to 2008, where he led the team to the NCAA Frozen Four in 2007. He was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the third round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
