Bernardo Silva's Late Goal Keeps Manchester City's Double Hopes Alive
Guardiola's Side Secures 1-0 FA Cup Semi-Final Victory
Silva's Goal Sends Holders Manchester City to Final Against Chelsea
Bernardo Silva's late goal kept Manchester City's double hopes alive as Pep Guardiola's side secured a 1-0 FA Cup semi-final victory against Chelsea.
The Premier League champions will face Chelsea again in the final on 17 May after Silva's 69th-minute strike settled a tightly-contested encounter at Wembley.
Manchester City had the better of the chances throughout the game, with Julian Alvarez hitting the post in the first half and Raheem Sterling seeing a goal ruled out for offside.
But it was Silva who proved to be the match-winner, curling a low shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the area.
The victory keeps Manchester City on course for a historic treble, having already won the Premier League title and secured a place in the Champions League semi-finals.
For Chelsea, it was a disappointing end to their FA Cup campaign, but they will have the chance to avenge their defeat when they face Manchester City in the Premier League on 28 May.
