Aïssa Mandi: From the Streets of Paris to the Heights of La Liga

Early Life and Career

Aïssa Mandi was born on October 22, 1991, in Châlons-en-Champagne, France. From a young age, he displayed an unwavering passion for football, honing his skills on the streets of his hometown. At the age of 11, he joined the youth academy of local club, Vitry FC.

International Success

Mandi's talent soon caught the attention of the Algerian national team. In 2014, he made his international debut and has since become a key player for the country. He represented Algeria at the 2014 FIFA World Cup and has also been a part of the side that won the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Club Career

Mandi's club career has also seen significant success. After impressing at Vitry FC, he moved to Reims in 2012. He then joined Real Betis in 2016, where he spent four seasons before signing for Villarreal in 2020. At Villarreal, Mandi has played a pivotal role in the team's recent resurgence, helping them qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
